Applying to NXNE

There is no fee to apply and never will be. Submitting an application does not reserve you a slot, guarantee a slot, or create any agreement to perform. The programming team reads every application; most acts who apply will not be booked, and that is not a judgement on the music.

Decisions are the festival's to make, and they are final. We are not able to give individual feedback on why an application was not successful.

Everything on the form should be accurate, and it should be yours to send: the act you describe, the links you give, and the files you upload. Do not submit an application on behalf of an act without their say-so.

If something material turns out to be wrong — the lineup is not the one described, the music is not yours, the contact has no authority to accept — the festival can withdraw an application or an offer at any point, including after a booking is announced.

By uploading them, you confirm you have the right to give them to us, including any photographer's permission, and you give NXNE permission to use your artist name, photos, bio and links to promote the festival and your appearance at it — on nxne.com, in listings and programmes, and in the festival's own social posts and print.

That permission is limited to promoting NXNE. It is not exclusive, it does not transfer ownership of anything, and it does not extend to merchandise, to licensing your music, or to any use unconnected with the festival. If you are not booked, your materials are not used publicly at all.

A place at the festival comes as an offer by email, with a link to accept or decline. It sets out the compensation choice described on the application — an Artist VIP package, or an artist fee plus discovery passes — and you choose when you accept. Venue and set time follow once the schedule is built.

That offer, and anything attached to it, is the agreement covering your performance. If it says something different from this page, the offer wins.

Applying means the festival can email you about this application: a confirmation, the decision, and any follow-up it needs. If you are booked, that extends to the practical mail a festival has to send — set times, load-in, production. We may also let you know when applications open in future years. Every message we send can be replied to, and perform@nxne.com reaches a person.

The form asks whether you have accessibility requirements. Tell us and we will do what we can with the rooms we have — some venues can accommodate more than others, and we would rather have the conversation early than at load-in.

If the way applications work changes, this page changes and the date at the top moves with it. The version in force for your application is the one that was here when you submitted it.
